The Air Microfluidic and Bio-surveillance Group (AMFBG) is a research consortium that includes the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC); University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), Northwestern University (NU), and Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) Our mission is to conduct research in the use of micro- and nanofabrication technologies, molecular biology, microfluidics, chemical engineering, and material science for developing miniaturized, easy deployable, and portable/wearable devices for bio-surveillance of airborne pathogens, ambient air-quality monitoring, and gas analysis.
